About the Role

Summary: We are seeking a versatile and skilled professional to take on the role of Data Analyst and Senior Internet Researcher. In this dual-capacity position, you will be responsible for sourcing, collecting, and analyzing data from various sources to provide valuable insights and inform decision-making processes for our product development efforts. Additionally, you will lead the research efforts, conduct in-depth investigations, and provide strategic insights based on internet-derived data to guide our product development process. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data manipulation and visualization, exceptional internet research capabilities, and excellent communication skills to convey findings effectively to stakeholders.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in similar fields
Responsibilities:
• Data Sourcing, Collection, and Internet Research:
• Identify relevant data sources and reliable online databases that align with product development requirements.
• Conduct thorough online research to gather data on various topics related to the product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data from various systems and databases/APIs.
• Implement data collection methodologies, including web scraping if necessary, to acquire relevant data points.
• Verify the accuracy and reliability of collected data through proper validation techniques.
• Organize and manage large datasets from multiple sources.
• Data Cleaning, Preparation, and Validation:
• Cleanse and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Handle missing or inconsistent data points using appropriate techniques.
• Transform and format data into a usable structure for analysis.
• Data Analysis and Interpretation:
• Conduct in-depth data analysis using statistical methods and data visualization techniques.
• Apply advanced analytical methods to extract meaningful insights from internet-derived data.
• Identify patterns, trends, and correlations within the data to generate actionable insights.
• Synthesize and interpret research findings to uncover relevant trends and patterns.
• Utilize visualization tools to present research results and data-driven insights in a clear and compelling manner.
• Competitive Analysis and Reporting:
• Monitor and analyze competitors' activities, market trends, and industry developments.
• Prepare detailed research reports, summaries, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Present data-driven insights in a meaningful way that supports decision-making processes.
• Communicate research findings and insights to cross-functional teams.
• Continuous Improvement and Collaboration:
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, internet research methodologies, and best practices in data analysis.
• Share best practices, mentor junior researchers (if applicable), and collaborate with team members.
• Propose and implement improvements to data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
• Optimize data analysis and internet research workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Market Research, or a related field. Proven experience in data analysis, data manipulation, internet research, and data visualization techniques.

  • Basic knowledge in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.

  • Strong understanding of various internet research methodologies, online databases, and search engines.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify insights from complex datasets and internet-derived information.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and data integrity.

  • Ability to work independently, lead research projects, and collaborate within a team environment.

  • Having experience in web scraping, data collection from diverse APIs, market research, or competitive intelligence would be advantageous

  • .Knowledge of web scraping through third-party applications or self-made scripts is considered a valuable asset.
